Speed: why 10 cuts a second

At 30 frames per second, 10 cuts a second means three frames per surface, the classic rhythm. Faster turns into a strobe; slower reads as a slideshow. Why the rhythm works at all is covered in what a sticker match cut is.

Keep the sticker out of the UI

On vertical platforms the bottom fifth of the screen is covered by captions and buttons, and the right edge by like and share icons. Keep the sticker near the centre, which is where StickerMatchCut places it by default.

Sound for a sticker transition

A hard hit on every cut (a slap, a staple gun, a whip crack) makes the transition feel physical. With a music track, keep the hits quieter than the beat, or turn them off and let the music carry it.
