The 30-second way
- Drop your sticker on StickerMatchCut, or pick a template.
- Watch the preview. The AI puts it on everything from brick walls to lamp posts, relit to match each one, same spot every shot.
- Download. Pick 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, add a track if you like, and save the MP4.
No filming, no timeline, no credits.
Make one in 30 secondsOr: the hard way
For people who hate their free time. Here's what the same video costs everywhere else:
| Method | What it takes | Time |
|---|---|---|
| StickerMatchCut | One sticker image | ~30 seconds |
| Filming + CapCut | 10 locations, a steady hand, frame-by-frame trimming | 1.5–2 hours |
| Filming + Premiere Pro | All of the above, plus a subscription | About 2 hours |
| After Effects | Motion tracking every shot that drifted | An afternoon |
| Credit-based AI video platforms | An account, credits, a render queue | Minutes per try, plus credits per try |
Typical times for a 5–10 surface edit, including filming. Your lamp post may vary.
The hard way, part 1: CapCut
Estimated time: 90 minutes. Estimated number of times you re-film the lamp post because the sticker drifted: three.
- Film the same sticker press at 5–10 locations, grid on, focus and exposure locked, 60 fps.
- Split every clip on the exact frame the sticker touches the surface. Delete the rest.
- Trim each clip to 2–4 frames, then nudge position and scale until the stickers line up.
- Add a hit sound on every cut and export.
The hard way, part 2: Premiere Pro
Estimated time: about 2 hours, and a subscription. Same filming as above, then Razor (C) on every impact frame, ripple trims to 2–4 frames, and Effect Controls → Position on any clip that drifted.
The hard way, part 3: After Effects
Estimated time: an afternoon. The same footage, plus a motion track on every shot that moved, so each sticker stays pinned to one point. Powerful, and wildly more than this effect needs. Changed your mind? The 30-second way is still there.
And the AI video platforms?
They skip the filming but bill you per try. That trade-off has its own post.
